This provides a great opportunity for a long linear walk connecting the Cat’s Back near Longtown with the Dragon’s Back descending into Pengenfordd. Great ridge walks and fabulous views (subject to weather!). Our minibus will drop us off near Cwm Mill, about 4 miles north west of Longtown. We ascend through fields to the Cat's Back and continue to ascend to Black Hill. Then the path levels out and we can stride out to Hay Bluff where we turn West, descending to the road at Gospel Pass and up to Twmpa. We walk along the north west escarpment over Rhos Dirion before descending the classic Dragon's Back with views of the Central Beacons ahead of us. We finish our walk at the Dinas Castle Inn at Pengenffordd for refreshment before the minibus takes us back to Crickhowell,
