An easy walk along an undulating path across the wild landscape of the limestone moorland on Llangynidr Mountain to the well hidden Chartists' Cave, reputed to have been their hiding place in the 1830s. Great views across the Black Mountains. Note the ground may be quite wet and muddy underfoot.
DIRECTIONS TO START
From the front of CRiC take A40 towards Brecon and turn left opposite the Shell petrol station. Drive over Crickhowell river bridge and turn left and immediately right into Llangattock. Turn right at Beaufort sign by a large chapel. This road rises and brings you to a T-junction after 3½ miles. Turn right onto B4560, towards Llangynidr, and the car-park is about half a mile along here on the left.
