Time: 10:00 to 12:30
Distance: 4 miles ( 6.4 km )

Leader: Jane Bradbury
From Henderson Hall we cross the canal over the lifting bridge and follow the River Caerfanell upstream to a footbridge, then along the riverside and across a field to the track of the old Brecon to Merthyr railway line, which becomes the Taff Trail. We cross the Reservoir dam to the road which we follow through tiny Aber village and cut across a field to the footbridge we crossed earlier. Then it's up to the Brinore Tramway which we follow back to Talybont, pausing at the Henry Vaughan garden.
The route is generally dog friendly, but there are two stiles where “dog lifting” will be required..
DIRECTIONS TO START
Allow 30 minutes from CRiC. From CRiC take the A40 towards Brecon. After 8 miles turn left to Talybont and right at T junction into village. After passing the village stores on your right, turn right to Henderson Hall (and Recycling Site!)
We recommend car sharing as there is a charge of £3/car to be paid in cash (only) by putting it in the honesty box on wall of the village hall. Please bring correct change/note.
