At her home Cwmffrwd Farm, ethnobotanist and storyteller Pridie Tiernan will introduce you to a selection of native plants and trees and the folklore, stories and ancestral practices with which they are associated. The walk will be gentle and move through both the farm meadows and a little of the open mountain above. Suitable for all ages.
Pridie will be giving an associated evening talk and presentation “The Wild of the Words” on Friday 14 March 19:30-21:30 in the Bear Hotel
DIRECTIONS TO START
Allow 15 minutes from Crickhowell. From the front of CRiC, take A40 towards Brecon. After 1½ miles, turn right onto A479 and continue through Tretower and Cwmdu. About 4 miles beyond Cwmdu, just before the hamlet of Waun Fach, turn right up a narrow road (no signpost) and after 1 mile you will find Cwmffrwd Farm on the right
