Starting with minibus ride from Crickhowell to Wern Farm, 1km north of Cwmdu, our walk takes us behind the farm and up fields to a quiet road which leads us down to Cwmdu. An ancient green lane takes us to Tretower where we will spend an hour visiting the Court and Castle. Leaving Tretower we follow a path through trees to the Glanusk estate. We cross the private bridge over the River Usk and make our way past West Lodge up to the canal which we follow to Llangattock and return to Crickhowell. DIRECTIONS TO START
CRiC - the Crickhowell Resource and Information Centre - is situated on the A40 in the centre of Crickhowell. The post code is NP8 1BN.There is a public Pay and Display car park immediately behind the CRiC building which is accessed from Greenhill Way by the Fire Station. At the weekends a voluntary donation allows you to use the School Car Park. Continue along the A40 to the Shell Petrol Station. Turn left and the school is on your right.
